Two human rights platforms announced that the Egyptian authorities arrested Al-Bara, the son of Sheikh Hazem Abu Ismail, who is currently imprisoned.

The "Al-Shehab" organization and the platform "We are recording" (non-governmental organizations and their headquarters outside Egypt) stated that the police arrested Al-Bara yesterday, Saturday, from his home.

The two platforms indicated in separate statements late Saturday, that he had not yet been determined the whereabouts of Hazem Abu Ismail's son.

The (non-governmental) channel, Watan, confirmed the arrest of Abu Ismail's son in Twitter.

There was no comment from the Ministry of Interior regarding the arrest of Al-Bara, the son of Hazem Abu Ismail, who has been imprisoned in an Egyptian prison in Cairo since the summer of 2013, on the background of his conviction in three cases, the penalties of which reach 13 years in prison.

The Egyptian judiciary sentenced Abu Ismail in the case of incitement and siege of a court to 5 years in prison in May 2019, along with 7 years in the case of "forging his mother's nationality" in April 2015, and imprisonment for one year on charges of insulting the judiciary in December 2014.
