His Highness stressed: "The Emirates are continuing, and the work teams are required to work in a more flexible and comprehensive manner, and more in response to accelerated daily changes."
Addressing the ministers, His Highness continued, “What went on during the past months taught us to be stronger and learn, and we have improvement points that we will develop, and the next will be for the best, and the results of the recent Emirates government meetings are applied, and we instructed the authorities to start implementing our vision for the post (Covid-19).”
Within the agenda of the meeting, the cabinet approved a number of decisions and initiatives during its session, where a policy was adopted to educate young people about the basics of building housing, which provides young people with all the necessary information on how to apply for a grant or loan from a government housing agency, in addition to eligibility criteria, And other necessary information related to all stages of housing construction, with a view to educating young people about the housing programs available in the state, their requirements and eligibility conditions and standards, facilitating the construction process in general, and spreading awareness to young people about modern building methods and techniques to ensure high quality in buildings, and avoiding delays in the implementation of the construction project In addition to contributing to reducing the cost of building housing, by educating young people about the construction process.
In legislative affairs, the council agreed to amend the schedule of charitable bodies that are permitted to recover the input tax, to ensure that these agencies perform their social and humanitarian tasks without additional burdens on them, focus their efforts to support the needy and groups deserving of support in particular, and contribute to the development of society in general.
In organizational affairs, the Council directed to study the file of government services and the file of judicial services, and the formation of a team to improve government services, enhance efforts to access integrated electronic services, and by raising the level of access and integration of all federal government services, to be via digital channels and smart devices, and to simplify the procedures of government services By reducing the steps and documents required, and simplifying the procedures for payment, requesting documents, and other procedures.
The Council also directed to study the file of societal culture, in the light of the implications of the emergence of the emerging Corona virus, and the formation of a team to define a set of values, ethics and behaviors for the UAE community, citizens and residents, to deal with the current crisis, and publish targeted and positive media content that accompanies government trends in the current stage, in addition to Preparing targeted cultural programs, through various means of communication, that would enhance mental health and positive behaviors in society.
In the same context, the Council adopted, within its directives, a study of national opportunities for the next stage, by forming a team to develop an integrated system that harnesses the efforts of volunteers, citizens and residents in the state, and from various sectors and tasks, and provide them with full support by preparing frameworks for volunteering on The state level, working to unify and coordinate efforts to organize the progress of volunteer work in the country, and follow up the implementation and implementation of conditions and controls for volunteering among all parties concerned, in addition to strategic coordination between government agencies and cooperation with researchers and specialists to design effective government programs to encourage correct behaviors.
The Cabinet also adopted the directive to study the file of communication via the Internet and work automation, with the aim of developing an ideal environment for creating an integrated system for small and medium-sized companies, to develop applications or platforms for communication via the Internet and support the practice of learning and working remotely, and the formation of a team to study and harness the capabilities to develop the communication sector via the Internet, And to allow small and medium companies to develop the technologies related to that, and to open the way for technology companies to develop new services in the country, related to Internet communication, and to develop modern methods in doing business such as meetings, electronic signatures and remote work, and harnessing technologies to build electronic platforms that improve government operations and transactions, in addition to Review existing legislation and laws and introduce legislation that supports telecommunications.
The Council also approved the request of the Federal National Council to discuss the subject of “the Ministry of Justice policy regarding training and judicial studies”, and reviewed a report on the Ministry of Finance’s participation in the G20 meetings for the year 2020.
