A ceremony will be organized Thursday at the Saint-Germain-des-Près church in tribute to the humorist and actor Guy Bedos, who died at the age of 85, announced his son on Twitter.

"A ceremony will take place next Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Saint-Germain-des-Prés church, a district he surveyed with joy. He was not very good with religion but very moved by the churches", according to the tweet by Nicolas Bedos.

Guy Bedos was a fan of spades and rants, and was known for his ferocious sketches, his unwavering commitment to the left and films like "We will all go to paradise".

Many political and artistic figures have paid tribute to the man who carried political humor high in France.
