According to police, the fire occurred on the third floor of a multi-family house in Ludvika, in the kitchen of an apartment. The residents went out onto the balcony when the fire occurred. Rescue services put out the fire and the family could then be taken care of. No other accommodation in the house had to be evacuated. There is no indication of possible injury to persons.
