Parc Astérix will reopen on June 15 with new "exceptional" health measures, following the transition to the "green zone" of the Hauts-de-France region, management announced on Saturday. Other amusement parks are also preparing the return of visitors.

The doors of Parc Asterix will reopen from June 15, management announced in a statement released on Saturday. "Exceptional sanitary procedures will be implemented in attractions, hotels, restaurants and shops in accordance with the recommendations of the authorities following the passage in the green zone of the Hauts-de-France Region", explains the amusement park which specifies that 'you must wear a mask in the attractions and respect the rules of physical distance.

Located in the Oise, not far from Paris, the park welcomes more than two million visitors a year. It was due to start its season on April 4 but its opening had been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. "The park will only be accessible with a dated ticket; reservations will be opened on the park's website from Wednesday June 3," said the park, owned by the Compagnie des Alpes group.

Other parks are gradually reopening

Futuroscope, located near Poitiers, will open its doors on June 13, first weekends and then daily from June 27. It closed on March 15 due to the health crisis. Here too, health rules will be applied, with the wearing of a mandatory mask in certain areas.

The leisure parks can open from June 2 in the green zone, with "a maximum gauge of 5,000 people", but will have to wait until June 22 in the "orange zone" in which the Ile-de-France is located, had announced government Thursday. The Disneyland Paris park in Seine-et-Marne remains closed "until further notice".
