The escalation continues: the official White House account @WhiteHouse tweeted on Friday Donald Trump's message on Minneapolis which had been reported by Twitter for "apology for violence".

Ulcerated by the decisions of the platform with the blue bird, which he uses with assiduity, the American president signed Thursday a decree aiming to limit the latitude from which social networks benefit in moderation of their contents.

A few hours later, he tweeted a message about the clashes in Minneapolis after the death of a black man, George Floyd, during his arrest by white police.

"These BREAKERS dishonor the memory of George Floyd, and I will not let that happen. I just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the army was fully at his side (...) The looting will be immediately welcomed by the bullets, "wrote the President.

Twitter quickly responded by hiding this tweet with a warning message. The tweet remains fully visible when you click on the message.

The social network did the same Friday morning with the White House tweet.

One of the president's close advisers, Dan Scavino, who is particularly concerned with his social media strategy, took a step forward in his attacks.

"Twitter only tells bullshit, more and more people are starting to realize it," he tweeted.

Donald Trump is followed by more than 80 million people on Twitter.
