Today, Friday, the Israeli occupation forces arrested the preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, from his home in East Jerusalem, without explaining the reasons.

After storming his house, the sheikh said that the repeated raids of the occupation army come to everyone who stands with and defends Al-Aqsa. He added that these actions will not change their attitudes towards the blessed mosque and defend it.

On the other hand, Anatolia news agency quoted a member of Sheikh Ikrima's family - preferring not to be named - that an Israeli intelligence force stormed the Sheikh’s house in the Al-Sawana neighborhood and informed him that he was under arrest.

He added that the sheikh rejected the arrest decision, but the intelligence services insisted on taking him to the investigation, without mentioning the reasons for the arrest.

The source indicated that the sheikh was transferred to the investigation at Al-Qishleh police headquarters in West Jerusalem.

And at the end of last January, the Israeli authorities expelled Sheikh Sabri from the Al-Aqsa Mosque for four months.

It is reported that Sheikh Akrama has always stood against the Israeli violations that affect Al-Aqsa Mosque, and has remained the voice calling for his rescue from the Judaization processes, and he has responded to attempts to silence the call to prayer in occupied Jerusalem mosques, and stood against the unprecedented decision to close the courtyards of Al-Aqsa in front of worshipers.
