Not said that she does a song on Donald Trump like Les Wampas on Jacques Chirac. But Taylor Swift did not hesitate to criticize the American president after a tweet on Thursday where Donald Trump seemed to threaten the demonstrators in Minneapolis with the use of armed force.

"After stoking the fire of white supremacy and racism since the start of your mandate, you have the nerve to play on moral authority before threatening [the use] of violence," wrote the artist. 30 years on his Twitter account. "We are going to vote to kick you out in November," she said.

After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? 'When the looting starts the shooting starts' ??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump

Taylor Swift quoted part of the message tweeted Thursday by the American president who, evoking riots in Minneapolis. "When the looting begins, the gunfire starts," wrote Donald Trump. He assured Friday that his tweet had been misunderstood and that it was, in fact, referring to possible exchanges of fire between rioters and not the use of force by the police.

Taylor Swift has been supporting Democrats since 2018

The death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, during a violent arrest in Minneapolis on Monday, was followed by demonstrations, which have escalated into riots for the past three nights.

Taylor Swift long refused to talk about politics and became a popular artist with the Conservatives. The 10 Grammy Awards singer finally took a stand in October 2018 to support two Democratic candidates from the state in which she has long lived, Tennessee.

She was then strongly criticized, in particular by Donald Trump, who had explained, via Twitter, that he liked "about 25% less" his music. She has since already indicated publicly that she wished to commit herself in favor of the Democratic candidate during the presidential election next November.
