A municipal building and other facilities were attacked, the day before yesterday, during a wave of violence in a village where indigenous people live in Mexico, after rumors linked to the new Corona virus spread on the Facebook social networking site, according to local authorities.

"About 30 people have tried to trick people into Venustiano Carranza and get them to believe that the (Covid-19) epidemic does not exist," said Chiapas (South) Governor Rutilio Escandon, in a video clip on social media.

The attack on the town hall, a commercial building, and three houses began after a Facebook post carried by local media, confirming that "the Corona virus does not exist" and that a drone was shot down on Sunday while it was spreading white powder causing the lungs to dry.

This post, filled with political insinuations, also confirmed that there was a "chemical attack" sponsored by the regional authorities against the Ethnian Zotzel.

This is not the first wave of violence recorded in Mexico since the start of the epidemic crisis.

Other disturbances occurred in areas within the states of Michoacan (west) and Oaxaca (south) during purification and sterilization operations.

Mexico, with 120 million people, is the second country in Latin America in terms of the number of deaths of the "Covid-19" epidemic after Brazil.
