• Minimum Vital Income.Compromís claims co-management from the Government as it will allow Euskadi and Navarra

The Valencian Community wants to co-manage with the Government of Spain the Minimum Vital Income approved by the Council of Ministers, just as the Basque Country and Navarra will. What started being a claim on Thursday by Compromís and Mónica Oltra, yesterday was the vindication of the entire Consell that Oltra herself verbalized ... in Basque.

"Nahitaezko gutxieneko diru sarrera kudeatu nahi dugu (we want to manage the Minimum Vital Income", surprised the vice president and minister of Equality in its first phase. "I have asked in Valencian and in a precarious Basque language, to forgive me. But it is an appeal because if co-management can be done by communities like the Basque Country and Navarra, the Valencian Community too ", he assured

The vice president made it clear that it is not about demanding "coffee for all", "because the communities that do not want to do it do not have to. But we want to and we have told the government that way," he said. The answer: "There is a willingness to study it. But it has been transmitted to us as a state of mind, nothing more."

The petition aims to harmonize this aid with the Valencia Inclusion Income and avoid duplication, "that some families may collect both and others remain without charging any, and prevent families that join one from disassociating themselves from the inclusion process "

The Valencian proposal includes processing by the primary care social services, which would receive the two proposals, one processed by the INSS and the other as complementary to the IMV, and would be processed directly from the Department of Equality and Inclusive Policies.

"This is how we have transferred it to the Government. It would be done through an inter-administrative agreement and it would be a way to harmonize the two systems in a single administration and avoid that the beneficiaries have to go to two windows and thus have a single entrance door", described.

Oltra clarified that, although in the draft of the Government, agreements in this regard are foreseen for 2021 , it is considered a necessity that these agreements take place from the beginning of the implementation of the Minimum Vital Income to avoid an "undesirable deterioration" of the system .

"We hope that our request will be met and it seems that there is a good predisposition on the part of the Ministry and this has been transferred to us."
