Last week, 95 people were infected or suspected of being infected with care homes, in home care, personal assistance and the social welfare committee's activities.
In particular, Corona had an attachment to the care home Valltorp with 37 sick or suspected sick. There, 20 people have now died, but it was unclear who died due to corona.
"The tests will continue"This week, the Municipality of Helsingborg reports 81 infected or suspected infected persons in the same business areas. But the number of nursing homes that found cases of corona has increased from three to four. Previously there were at Valltorp, Elinebo and Stattenahemmet. Now Bergaliden has also had a few cases.
What is the reason for the decrease?
"More people have recovered and right now the increase in new cases is not so great," says Care Director Annika Andersson.
She says the sharp increase last week may have been due to a more extensive corona testing in the elderly care sector. But the question marks are many.
- Right now we have no new information about the location at Valltorp. The tests should continue, which means that the number of patients will continue to vary. In addition, there is still a spread of infection in society, says Annika Andersson.
