Additional employees were infected in the hospital ward - continued patient stoppage

Four employees at the geriatric ward 36 at the Blekinge Hospital were found to be infected by the corona virus this week and the region Blekinge introduced in Thursday's hospitalization stop.

Now new test answers show that three more of the staff, who are at home with symptoms of covid-19, have been infected by the coronavirus.

"Therefore, we are extending the precautionary measures, which means the continued use of oral protection and intake stops at the geriatric department even over the upcoming weekend," says Lars Gelander, head of health in the Blekinge region, in a press release.

There are still no suspicions that some of the ward's patients have been infected.
