A 55-year-old man died this Friday shortly after 1 p.m. at the foot of Fort Saint Jean in the second arrondissement of Marseille after falling in the Mediterranean Sea, learned 20 Minutes from firefighters, confirming information from La Provence . Witnessing the scene, a woman jumped into the water to bring him back to dry land.

Warned, the firefighters quickly arrived but despite the care provided, the man died. According to information from  La Provence , the accident track is at this stage of the privileged investigation.
