On Tuesday, for the first time, markings appeared during two of Trump's postal votes. The President writes, among other things, that postal voting will undoubtedly lead to cheating. Anyone who now clicks on the markings is linked to a page with the headline "Trump makes unfounded claims that postal votes lead to voting fraud".

Twitter spokesperson Katie Rosborough has spoken out for the Washington Post. According to her, Trump's post contains "potentially misleading information".

After several years of criticism that Twitter allows disinformation to be disseminated on its platform, the company announced earlier in May that they would warn and mark covid posts that spread disinformation and false information.

Trump: They stifle freedom of speech

Donald Trump responded to the fact review and marking of his post with an attack on Twitter - on their own platform.

"Twitter gets involved in the 2020 presidential election (...) They stifle freedom of speech altogether, which I as president will not allow to happen," the president wrote on Tuesday night.
