New family center and job center in Fröslunda 2021

Fröslunda is one of the state parts of Eskilstuna, which has been designated as a priority area. Part of the change work that the municipality has for the state part means that the English school in Fröslunda will expand the school. The municipality signs a 20-year lease with the school.

The expansion will be completed by 2022, which will mean that the school will be divided into a low- and middle-school stage with approximately 1200 pupils. A new gym and school yard will also be available to students.

- The fact that the International English School chooses to invest in Fröslunda and Eskilstuna feels like an important key for us as a municipality. This has been a venture that we in the majority have wanted to get for a few years and it feels incredibly good that it has now been locked. IES is important for Eskilstuna but also for Fröslunda's continued development, ”says Jimmy Jansson (S), chairman of the municipal council, in a press release.

The municipality plans to start a new job center in 2021, which will share premises with the "Meeting Place Fröslunda Fröet", which has, among other things, a library and a café. The idea is to help people who are outside the labor market to find work.

In the summer of 2021, the new Family Center will open. The Family Center will provide maternal care, child health care and open preschool. Social services will also be in place.
