Leoluca Orlando is pessimistic
"In this way, President Conte will give his government a 'shoulder' on his own. More than disappointing answers continue to come from him, which do not respond to the needs of the territories expressed by the mayors." This was stated by the Mayor of Palermo Leoluca Orlando, regarding what emerges from the teleconference between the Prime Minister and the mayors of metropolitan cities. "The national government and the Prime Minister - Orlando explains - cannot continue to be conditioned by structures linked to accounting logics incompatible with the emergency and the economic recovery. Up to now the mayors, all the mayors have held responsible behavior in the face of the mourning of thousands of Italians and the suffering of millions of our fellow citizens. But this responsible behavior cannot be mistaken for renunciation of one's duties and roles ".
