This Wednesday afternoon, a mother and her two children were swept away by the waves on the central beach of Ondres in the Landes, about ten kilometers south of Hossegor. Around 5.30 p.m., they were surprised by the ocean while they were at the water's edge, reports France Bleu Gascogne.

The mother managed to bring the youngest of her two sons back to the beach but not the second. It took the intervention of a young lifeguard swimmer, a municipal officer on the beach to mediate on sanitary measures and a surfer to get him out of the water.

The emergency services managed to revive him after long minutes. He was helicoptered by Smur, in the direction of the Bayonne hospital center. Its vital prognosis would be engaged according to South West.  The mother and the older brother were also hospitalized, as well as a 64-year-old woman who was there and was very shocked.
