Fishermen's Wharf, a well-known tourist destination in San Francisco, USA, reported that some facilities were lost due to a massive fire, CNN and ABC reported.

The fire broke out at the warehouse at Pier 45 in Fisherman's Wharf at about 4:17 am on the 23rd local time.

More than 125 firefighters were dispatched to fight the fire, and they were deployed around the leading pier to support the fire.

The San Francisco Fire Department said today that a quarter of Pier 45 was lost due to the fire.

Some of the buildings on the south side of the pier also collapsed.

Human casualties have not been reported.

The warship SS SS Germainia O'Brien, which was built during World War II and fought in the Normandy landing, was also anchored by the pier, but fortunately avoided the war.
