The alarm came to SOS Alarm at 00.29 during the night towards Saturday. Several people had heard a loud bang in the area around Haninge south of Stockholm.
- We got a large number of calls from several municipalities in southeast Stockholm. A loud explosion had been heard. There was also information about a light, says Ola Österling, a police spokesman.
The detonation had happened at a car company. Several cars and parts of the facade should have received extensive damage, according to the police.
- We keep the entire area blocked off and direct traffic, says Ola Österling.
Bomb technicians are on their way to the site. The police have started an investigation into the destruction of public property.
Shortly after the detonation, a suspected explosive charge was found in Alby in Botkyrka municipality. There, the police have evacuated a townhouse area. The police are investigating a possible link between the cases.
