May 23, 2020 After almost 10 hours of central management committee, the president of the ANM, Luca Poniz, and the general secretary, Giuliano Caputo, have resigned.

On the agenda was the motion with which the independent judiciary asked for the advance in July of the elections of the Committee (set for 18, 19 and 20 October next after the first postponement linked to the coronavirus emergency), motivating it with the publication of some conversations of the 'Palamara case' which allegedly delegitimized the Junta involving some of its members.

The discussion went on for a long time and saw increasingly distant positions emerge, with the decision of the entire Area groups (of which Poniz is part) and Unicost (of which Caputo is part) to leave the Board.

In the final vote, the advance of the elections was rejected (19 no, 7 yes and 8 abstentions) while the CoC was updated on Monday 25 May at 19.
