Can you enjoy the sand and the waves on Saturday and Sunday? If access to the beaches remains generally prohibited despite the deconfinement, many prefectures have authorized reopening on a case-by-case basis, often on condition of remaining "dynamic" there. Europe 1 reviews these authorizations, department by department. 

No question of sunbathing, but possibility of swimming, running or surfing despite the coronavirus epidemic: this is the rule on many French beaches in this second weekend of deconfinement. While the weather offers a little taste of summer, many prefectures have authorized beaches to reopen as an exception and provided they remain "dynamic", so without lying on your towel. But before taking the road to the strike, it is better to inquire: all the beaches are not reopened, and the restrictions, in particular hours, are not the same everywhere. Europe 1 takes stock, department by department.

North 

A prefectoral decree dated May 14 establishes the list of municipalities whose beaches are open to the public: Bray-Dunes, Dunkirk, Grand-Fort-Philippe, Gravelines, Leffrinckoucke and Zuydcoote. Movements of maritime pleasure craft are authorized from the ports of Gravelines and Dunkirk. 

Pas-de-Calais 

The prefecture has authorized access to the beaches of the municipalities of Cucq, Le Touquet, Berck, Merlimont, Camiers, Ambleteuse, Boulogne-sur-Mer, Le Portel, Audinghen / Tardinghen, Wimereux, Saint-Etienne-au-Mont, Equihen Plage , Dannes, Neufchatel-Hardelot, Wissant, Sangatte, Calais, Oye Plage, Escalles and Marck. The opening is authorized at most between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. 

Sum

"After careful examination, and in view of the guarantees provided by the mayors and the means of control put in place" the prefecture indicates on its website that it has authorized access to the beaches and nautical and recreational activities in the following coastal municipalities : Ault, Cayeux-sur-Mer, Fort-Mahon-Plage, Le Crotoy, Mers-les-Bains, Quend, Saint-Valery-sur-Somme and Woignarue.

Seine-Maritime

The communes whose beaches are reopened by prefectural decree are numerous, according to a press release from the prefecture. Here is the list: Le Tréport, Petit-Caux, Dieppe, Hautot-sur-Mer, Varengeville-sur-Mer, Sainte-Marguerite-sur-Mer, Quiberville-sur-Mer, Veules-les- Roses, Saint-Valéry- en-Caux, Sassetot-le-Mauconduit, Saint-Pierre-en-Port, Senneville-sur-Fécamp, Fécamp, Yport, Vattetot-sur-Mer, Étretat, Le Tilleul, Saint-Jouin Bruneval, Sainte-Adresse and Le Havre . 

Calvados

The beaches of the municipalities of Cabourg, Colleville-Montgomery, Colleville-sur-Mer, Deauville, Graye-sur-Mer, Hermanville-sur-Mer, Merville-Franceville, Ouistreham, Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, Saint-Côme-de -Fresné, Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer, Varaville and Vierville are reopened, according to the prefecture site. It is however recommended to consult the official website of the prefecture because the authorized activities are not the same everywhere, especially concerning equestrian sports. 

Handle

The list of municipalities authorized to reopen their beaches is long: Agon-Coutainville, Annoville, Audouville la Hubert, Barfleur, Barneville-Carteret, Beauvoir, Blainville-sur-Mer, Bréhal, Bretteville-sur-Ay, Bréville-sur-Mer, Bricqueville-sur-Mer, Carentan, Carolles, Ceaux, Champeaux, Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, Coudeville-sur-Mer, Crasville, Créances, Digosville, Donville-les-Bains, Dragey-Rothon, Fermanville, Flamanville, Gatteville-Phare, Géfosses, Genêts, Gouville-sur-Mer, Granville, Hauteville-sur-Mer, Huisnes-sur-Mer, Jullouville, La Hague, La Haye, Le Rozel, Le Val Saint-Père, Les Pieux, Marcey-les-Grèves, Montmartin-sur-Mer, Moitiers-d'Alonne (Hatainville), Montfarville, Pirou, Portbail, Quettehou / Morsalines, Quinéville, Régneville-sur-Mer, Réville, Saint-Georges la Rivière, Saint-Germain-de-Varreville, Saint -Germain-sur-Ay, Saint-Jean-le Thomas, Saint-Martin-de-Varreville, Saint-Pair-sur-Mer, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Sainte-Marie du Mont, Sainte-Mère-Eglise, Siouville-Hague, Surtai nville, Tréauville, Vains and Vicq-sur-Mer. The prefecture recently added the beaches of the municipalities of Saint-Marcouf-de-l'Isle, Saint-Jean de la Rivière, Lestre and Lingreville.

Ille-et-Vilaine

In the Breton department, the beaches authorized to reopen are located in the municipalities of Cancale, Cherrueix, Dinard, Hirel, La Richardais, La Ville-és-Nonais, Le Minihic, Le-Vivier-sur-Mer, Pleurtuit, Roz-sur -Couesnon, Saint-Benoît-des-Ondes, Saint-Briac, Saint-Brolade, Saint-Coulomb, Saint-Jouan-des-Gu Interests, Saint-Lunaire, Saint-Méloir, Saint-Père-Marc-en-Poulet and Saint -Suliac. Their detailed list can be found on the prefecture's website. In the tourist town of Saint-Malo, thirteen beaches have been authorized to reopen, without the crowds leading the authorities to backtrack for the moment. 

Côtes d'Armor

From Bréhat to Perros-Guirrec, no less than 143 beaches, the list of which can be viewed on this site, have reopened in the coastal department. The prefecture specifies, however, that the authorized activities are not always the same there, as are the reopening hours: it is better to check on a case-by-case basis before traveling.

Finistere 

Nearly 200 beaches have reopened in Finistère, to be found on this map, which is regularly updated. However, two beaches located in Locmaria-Plouzané, near Brest, are again closed after being authorized to the public, due to an excessive crowd incompatible with the respect of the rules of social distancing. The prefecture announces reinforced controls for the Ascension weekend on its website. 

Morbihan

The prefecture has established a map of the many open beaches, also indicating those reserved for nautical activities. However, it took the decision to close again the beaches of five communes where the reopening had been authorized, due to the non respect of the sanitary instructions. The beaches concerned are located in Billiers, Damgan, Erdeven, La Trinité-sur-Mer and Saint-Philibert. 

Loire Atlantique

The list of municipalities with reopened beaches has been drawn up by the prefecture: Piriac-sur-Mer, La Turballe, Mesquer, Le Pouliguen, Asserac, La Baule, Pornichet, La Bernerie-en-Retz, La Plaine-sur-Mer , Le Croisic, Les Moutiers-en-Retz, Pornic, Préfailles, Saint-Brévin-les-Pins, Saint-Nazaire, Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef and Batz-sur-Mer. Claude d'Harcourt, regional prefect, however, warned Ouest-France against possible new closings in the event of non-compliance with health regulations. 

Vendée

The beaches of the following municipalities are open, depending on the prefecture: Noirmoutier-en-l'Île, L'Épine, La Guérinière, Barbâtre, Notre-Dame-de-Monts, La-Barre-de-Monts Saint-Jean-de- Monts, Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, Brétignolles-sur-Mer, Les Sables d'Olonne, Talmont-Saint-Hilaire, Jard-sur-Mer, Saint-Vincent-sur- Jard, Longeville-sur-Mer, La Tranche-sur-Mer, La Faute-sur-Mer, L'Aiguillon-sur-Mer, and Île d'Yeu. However, beware of the Sables d'Olonne: the high tidal coefficients expected this weekend have led the city to limit the opening hours of urban beaches, according to Ouest-France. 

Charente Maritime

No less than 34 municipalities, that is, all those which had requested it from the prefecture, were authorized to reopen in the department. Here is the list: Angoulins, Ars-en-Ré, Aytré, Bourcefranc-Le Chapus, Châtelaillon-Plage, Dolus d'Oléron, Fouras, Ile d'Aix, La Brée-les-Bains, La Couarde-sur-Mer, La Flotte, La Tremblade, La Rochelle, Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré, Le Château-d'Oléron, Le Grand-Village-Plage, Les Mathes-La Palmyre, Les Portes-en-Ré, L'Houmeau, Loix , Marennes-Hiers-Brouage, Meschers, Port des Barques-Île Madame, Rivedoux-Plage, Royan, Saint-Denis d'Oléron, Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, Saint-Georges d'Oléron, Saint-Martin-de- Ré, Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron, Saint-Trojan-les-Bains, Sainte-Marie-de-Ré and Vaux-sur-Mer. 

Gironde

All the beaches of the department, as well as the lakes and lakes located on the coastal towns have been authorized to reopen by the prefecture. Their access is authorized from 6 am to 7 pm, to the exclusion of any sedentary activity. 

Landes

The list of the many reopened beaches - the majority of those in the department - can be found on the prefecture website. However, this indicates that changes are possible and invites residents to contact the town halls of each municipality before traveling. 

Pyrenees-Atlantiques

The municipalities that have obtained a waiver to reopen their beaches are: Anglet, Biarritz, Bidart, Ciboure, Guéthary, Hendaye and Saint-Jean-De-Luz. The rules in force are specified on the prefecture site. 

Eastern Pyrenees

Some of the beaches in the municipalities of Argelès-sur-Mer, Le Barcarès, Torreilles, Canet-en-Roussillon, Banyuls-sur-Mer, Saint-Cyprien, Sainte-Marie and Port Vendres have been authorized to reopen. But this is not the case for all the beaches in all these municipalities: the details can be found on the prefecture site. 

Aude

The municipalities that have authorized the reopening of certain beaches or bodies of water are the following: Bages, Fleury d'Aude, Gruissan, La Palme, Leucate, Narbonne and Port-la-Nouvelle, according to a prefectoral decree dated May 15. 

Herault

In the department, the reopened beaches are located in the municipalities of Agde, Balaruc-les-Bains, Marseillan, Mauguio-Carnon, Mèze, Palavas-les-Flots, Portiragnes, Sérignan, Sète, Valras, Vendres, Vias and Villeneuve- the-Maguelones. The precise list and the instructions in force are specified by the prefecture. At La Grande Motte, a "shared beach" is open by reservation at the Tourist Office ... but complete this weekend. 

Gard

On the first day of the Ascension weekend, certain beaches in Grau-du-Roi were reopened on Thursday, by prefectural decision, on condition of "dynamic" occupation. The narrowest parts of the coast remain closed to the public. 

Bouches-du-Rhône

33 beaches in the department reopened on Thursday. They are located in the following municipalities: Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, Arles, Port-Saint-Louis, Fos-sur-Mer, Port-de-Bouc, Martigues, Sausset-les-Pins, Carry-le -Rouet, Cassis, and La Ciotat. All Marseilles beaches, however, remain closed, says the prefecture. Any access to the Calanques park, even by sea, is prohibited. 

Var

A large part of the beaches of the department is again accessible, with a maximum hourly amplitude ranging from 8 hours to 19 hours, according to a prefectoral decree. Here is the list of the municipalities concerned: Bandol, Bormes-les-Mimosas, Carces, Carqueiranne, Cavalaire, Cogolin, La Croix-Valmer, Fréjus, Gassin, Grimaud, Hyères, Le Lavandou, La Londe-les-Maures, Le Pradet, Puget -sur-Argens, Ramatuelle, Le Rayol-Canadel, Roquebrune-sur-Argens, Saint-Cyr, Saint-Mandrier, Saint-Raphaël, Saint-Tropez, Sainte-Maxime, La Seyne-sur-Mer, Six-Fours-les -Beaches and Toulon. 

Alpes-Maritimes

According to the prefecture's website, 12 of the 16 coastal municipalities in the department have submitted exemption requests to reopen their beaches. All - except, therefore: Beaulieu, Eze, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Villefranche-sur-Mer - have obtained authorizations on a case-by-case basis. The details can be found on this site.  

Haute-Corse

32 beaches and bodies of water in the department, as well as nine marinas, the full list of which is available on the prefecture's website, reopened on Thursday. However, at the request of the mayors, picnics, barbecues and the consumption of alcohol are prohibited. 

South Corsica

The majority of the beaches in the other Corsican department have also reopened, with the exception of those of Coti-Chiavari, Appietto and Alata, as well as a few others located in other municipalities and deemed too small to comply with health regulations. 

Guadeloupe

19 coastal municipalities of the department saw their access to the sea reopened on Wednesday, says the prefecture on its website. Access to the beaches is however prohibited between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm and the occupation of the premises must be "dynamic". 

Martinique

The list of municipalities whose beaches have reopened this week, available on the prefecture site, is as follows: Basse-Pointe, Case-Pilote, Le Carbet, Le François, Le Lorrain, Sainte-Marie, Saint-Pierre, Les Trois-Îlets, Fort-de-France and Le Diamant. From Saturday, three beaches in Schoelcher and four in La Trinité are also accessible. The precise conditions of access are specified online. 

Guyana 

A prefectoral decree dated May 14 mentions the authorization to access the beaches "at the request of the mayors, for the sole purpose of walking or the practice of running". 

The meeting

All the beaches are reopened on condition of remaining "dynamic" and nautical and pleasure activities are possible "as soon as they are practiced in compliance with the sanitary recommendations and the required hygiene rules", specifies the prefecture. 

Mayotte

In the overseas department, where the government has taken the decision to delay deconfinement due to the progression of the virus, the prefecture does not yet report the reopening of any beach.
