As part of its deconfinement Germany reopened its places of worship. The media reported about forty coronavirus contaminations during a mass held on May 10.

Several dozen people were infected with the new coronavirus during a mass in Germany. While France authorizes the resumption of worship today, in Frankfurt, a mass celebrated on May 10 in a Protestant Baptist church would have caused more than forty contaminations.

Six people admitted to hospital

On April 30, and following a decision of the Federal Constitutional Court, Germany authorized the resumption of worship, against the backdrop of a sharp slowdown in the epidemic. The highest court in the country considered the total closure of places of worship to be a "serious intrusion" into religious freedom. It is therefore about ten days after that that the incriminated mass would have taken place as reported by the local daily Frankfurter Rundschau
