Russian doctors announced that the pre-clinical testing of the vaccine against the Corona virus showed good results, and the vaccine could be produced by the end of the summer. The director of the "Aesthetic Institute", for epidemiology and microbiology, Alexander Gonsberg, he was one of the first to take the vaccine, by injecting himself with the new compound.
The chief researcher and colleagues have received experimental vaccine to prevent and avoid health isolation, which affects the frequency of research.
In addition, sources say that deadlines have been set, to make the drug available to the public in Russia, in light of the large outbreak of the epidemic, and by the end of the summer it is possible to start producing the vaccine.
"Unfortunately, production will not immediately allow us to immunize a large portion of Russia's population, but health authorities are currently making unprecedented efforts and measures to regulate mass production, when registering for the vaccine," he told Gonsberg.
The epidemiologist and microbiologist explained that the scientists involved in the research are not test subjects, as they protect themselves to continue working.
When asked if vaccine developers suffer from any side effects, he said: "Everyone is alive, healthy and happy, and as such, everyone involved in the development is protected."
The research center is awaiting the results of experiments on monkeys, in order to obtain permission from the Russian Ministry of Health to start clinical trials in humans.
