The President of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García Page , flatly rejects the pact signed by the PSOE and Unidas Podemos with Bildu, by virtue of which the three formations agreed to the "comprehensive" repeal of the labor reform before the expiration of the extraordinary economic measures taken by the coronavirus pandemic.

If yesterday, it was authorized government spokespersons who transferred their "perplexity" and "discomfort", today it is he himself who attacks a deal based, in his opinion, on "political extortion". In this sense, García-Page maintains that "the agreements made on the basis of political torture are not valid."

The socialist baron, considered by critics of his party as a benchmark, assures that "those who have despised life and attacked it have always been a much worse line than red, very black, and will continue to be so." Page thus refers to the history of a PSOE that has always, until now, ruled out negotiations and pacts with a formation that has never condemned the ETA murders and whose current general coordinator, Arnaldo Otegi , belonged to the gang.

The Castilian-Manchego president calls for the "reconstruction of social dialogue" to reach "broad, generous and prospective agreements" that must inevitably go through the joint work of "unions and employers", and leave aside "isolated and unilateral measures."

Page stresses his clear support for the government, but "particularly" for the third vice president, Nadia Calviño , who "has to lead the country's economic reconstruction and has to defend Spain in Europe." Calviño yesterday called the pact with Bildu "absurd and counterproductive". She was, in fact, the first to express to the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez , her disagreement with him and demand his cancellation.

In this way, the socialist baron rejects the position of the second vice president, Pablo Iglesias , who has explicitly defended the pact, in his "crystalline" opinion, with the abertzale formation to completely and immediately repeal the 2012 labor reform. the parliamentary spokesman for Unidas Podemos, Pablo Echenique .

Page also stresses the need to "be broad-minded." In his opinion, "everything can be criticized, but the government's authority cannot be broken," a message that seems destined for the Iglesias party.

The president of the Manchego Executive has expressed himself in these terms during a visit to the Provincial Operating Center of Cuenca.
