The Civil Prosecution of the Dubai Public Prosecution registered 17 appeals before the Court of Cassation, five of which were adjudicated since the beginning of this year, and submitted 51 appeals to the Public Prosecutor after it transferred its daily operational operations to become 100% remote.

She added that consideration of and applications for discrimination appeals are considered in the final rulings issued in legal cases submitted to the public prosecutor through the Public Prosecution Program, and studying these requests after reviewing the final rulings required to be challenged through the courts program using the power of electronic archiving, and after studying the request, In the event of approval, appeal papers are prepared and approved by the Public Prosecutor electronically, as well as registering them remotely through the Courts Program, which grants the authority to civil servants concerned to register appeals for discrimination in the interest of the law and follow them until the decisions are issued by the Court of Cassation.

She explained that the Civil Prosecution recorded 17 appeals before the Court of Cassation since the beginning of this year, including the period in which it transformed its business to become remotely, which included nine appeals in commercial matters, three in civil matters and four in labor matters and a real estate challenge, noting that the Court of Cassation was separated in five Appeals of cassation and 12 appeals are still pending before the court.

She pointed out that the number of requests submitted to the Public Prosecutor to challenge discrimination in the interest of the law over the final rulings issued in human rights articles 51 requests since the beginning of this year, while the number of legal cases referred to the Civil Prosecution to express opinion reached 86 cases during the months of March, April and May of 2020.
