With the return of sunny days, many French people would like to enjoy the sun in the parks. But in the red zone, as in Paris, in the East or in the North, they are still closed, in accordance with the measures taken by the government since the beginning of the confinement. However, the controversy has swelled in recent days. Many voices are raised, like that of the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, to demand the reopening of the parks in the red zone, especially in the big cities.
But is it reasonable, while the coronavirus continues to circulate? Doctor Jimmy Mohamed is favorable, and explained why Friday evening on Europe 1.

"The chances of catching the virus in the open are almost zero"
"We could ask ourselves the question of a progressive deconfinement, and not to reopen immediately the parks so as not to send a bad signal, while the virus was still on our doorstep," begins the doctor. "But I think there is more risk of being in confined apartments than in outdoor spaces, especially at this time of year when you want to enjoy a little," he says.

Jimmy Mohamed believes that it is now possible to have "a little perspective" on the health situation, more than ten days after the start of deconfinement. "For the moment things seem to be improving. Two arguments point in favor of the reopening of the parks. The German virologist who co-discovered SARS in 2003 says that the chances of catching the coronavirus or a respiratory virus with l 'open air are almost zero, "he said.
