The town hall of Mont-Saint-Michel decided to impose Thursday the wearing of the mask to visitors in the village, a measure scheduled on weekends and holidays until June 1 "without immediate ticketing," he said. we learned from the director general of the national public establishment.

This action of the town hall "consists in imposing the wearing of the mask to the visitors of the village between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, weekends and holidays until June 1", indicated the director of Epic, Public establishment with industrial and commercial character national, Mont-Saint-Michel, Thomas Velter.

"The measure takes effect today (Thursday)" but "there will be no verbalization in the immediate future", assures Mr. Velter. "The police will do pedagogy above all," he added.

According to Mr. Velter, shops in the Mont already sell masks for the general public, others are sold at the level of the shuttles connecting the car park to the rock. "The offer will evolve according to needs," adds Mr. Velter.

Confined for two months, Mont-Saint-Michel came back to life slowly with the return of visitors and the reopening of its shops, except cafes and restaurants, on May 11.
