The Grand Mufti of Libya, Al-Sadiq Al-Gharyani, thanked the State of Qatar as Emir, government and people for its permanent and principled stand on the side of the Libyan people, and its endeavors for Libya's stability and security.
He added - in a speech to him today - that the State of Qatar has adopted a clear and principled position since the outbreak of the Libyan revolution, which is to support the Libyan people and help them to stabilize and bring together the Libyan parties.
The Grand Mufti of Libya said that there are other countries, headed by the UAE, that claim to help Libya, work to stabilize it, and advance reconciliation, but in reality they are pushing the drones that kill the Libyans.
Al-Gharyani also praised in his speech the Turkish role in Libya, especially after the signing of the security cooperation agreement with the Libyan Al-Wefaq government, which he considered a successful step, although it came late.
He pointed out that if this agreement had been signed since the start of the fighting, it would have been possible to prevent many Libyan victims due to the Emirati aviation, which had been arriving and touring the Libyan airspace for months, he said.
