The Libyan Al-Wefaq government forces offered the Russian air defense system, Panzir, which it confiscated after controlling the Al-Wataya military base in the streets of the capital, Tripoli, while the ambiguity of the forces of retired Major General Khalifa Hifter is surrounded by mystery following its withdrawal from the fronts of the fighting.

Libyan army spokesman Mohamed Kanounou said that the Russian air defense system "Pantzier" was purchased with Emirati money in order to eliminate the legitimate government.

He added that the Libyan military position is excellent, and all the cities of the country will be cleared, and that the government will not intimidate Emirati checks, Egyptian intelligence, or Russian Wagner.

This brings the number of Panzzer systems that were destroyed by the Wefaq forces to six within three days.

Raids and kill

This comes as Al-Wefaq air forces launched raids inside the city of Tarhuna and in the Marah region, killing and injured Haftar forces and destroying their vehicles.

Al-Wefaq forces have reinforced their positions on the outskirts of Tarhuna to pressure the city in preparation for its control.

In a related context, Al-Wefaq forces announced the killing and wounding of 12 Haftar gunmen with air strikes in the Marah area between Al-Washaka and Sirte, east of the city of Misrata.

She also asked civilians inside the cities of Tarhuna and Al-Asaba to stay away from the locations of Haftar's forces, and said that she would specify safe passages for the exit of stranded civilians.

Collapse and withdrawal

This development comes after a spokesman for Haftar announced the redeployment of his forces south of Tripoli, amid reports of the collapse of the alliance between Tarhuna militants and Haftar's forces coming from the Libyan east.

Yesterday evening, Wednesday, Haftar's forces announced that they would withdraw between two and three kilometers, to improve conditions for Tripoli residents at the end of Ramadan, but the move came after losing a major stronghold on Monday.

The decision to withdraw comes after a series of setbacks in the forces of eastern Libya that highlight the shifting balance of power in the conflict since Turkey's intervention in January to help the UN-recognized national reconciliation government repel Hifter's attack.

With the support of the Emirates, Russia and Egypt, Haftar forces still maintain all of eastern Libya and most of the south, including most of the oil installations, but their presence in the northwest of the country where the population of Libya is concentrated has come under severe pressure.

Threatened, anxious, and
in his response to these developments, Haftar Saqr al-Jarushi, Air Force Chief of Staff said that the air force is about to carry out the largest air operation in the history of Libya, considering that the coming hours will be painful for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his followers.

Al-Jaroushi considered that all Turkish sites and interests in all Libyan cities are a legitimate target for their weapons fighters and called on civilians to stay away from them, according to several news sites, including the most important site of the American Bloomberg Agency.

Politically, the White House said that US President Donald Trump and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron discussed by telephone concerns about increased foreign intervention in Libya, noting that the two sides agreed on the urgent need to reduce escalation.

In turn, a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed Moscow's support for any initiative aimed at stopping the bloodshed in Libya.

For his part, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that it was consultations and joint exercises with members of the Turkish armed forces that changed the scales by a significant percentage in Libya.
