Deputy Sherine Farraj accused the ministry’s leaders of not adhering to the preventive measures during the meeting, and she said - during televised remarks yesterday, Wednesday - “We were in a meeting of the Budget and Health Committee, attended by the leaders of the Ministry of Health, and it was moved to a narrow place in the House of Representatives, and unfortunately the ministry’s leaders did not wear masks and they were not I am committed to the necessary precautions, and I am sure I was injured by one of them. "

"I attended the meeting and I know that there are injured people, and there are many injuries in the Ministry of Health Bureau. Unfortunately, the assistant ministers of health and the minister's office did not wear masks, due precautions were taken to avoid the spread of infection."

Regarding her health condition, the deputy said that she had gone out of isolation with her children. She added, "It is difficult, strange and strange. I am committed to health procedures, and I used to keep wearing a muzzle, so I did not transmit infection from my colleagues in the parliament, contrary to what happened to me."

Health Minister

This comes at a time when the official spokesman of the Egyptian Ministry of Health denied on Wednesday evening the allegations that Minister Hala Zayed was infected with the new corona virus and subjected to isolation in her home.

The social media in Egypt witnessed yesterday evening, spread rumors that the Minister of Health had been isolated at her home on suspicion of being infected with the Corona virus.

With the spread of the Corona virus, many of the infected people face a problem in obtaining health care, which prompted an Egyptian citizen to direct a photo distress through social media to save her parents who are infected with the Corona virus, and transfer them to a hospital designated for treatment.

Shorouk (a resident of a village in Fayoum governorate) said that her mother's condition started to deteriorate, and that she was afraid of the complications of the disease, and that the infection had passed on to her, her father and her siblings as well.

Shorouk complained that a number of hospitals had refused to receive her father and mother due to the government routine and the protocol for dealing with people with the Coronavirus.

The distress of Shorouk is not the first of its kind in the country. An elderly Egyptian patient who died of a stroke in the lung died after a hospital refused to receive him on suspicion of having a corona due to the Ministry of Health instructions.

His daughter had issued a distress call hours before his death, after the "Nour Al-Hayat" hospital in Cairo refused to help her sick father with a stroke, on the pretext of instructions from the Ministry of Health after he was suspected of being infected with the new Corona virus.

Great spread

Today, Thursday, Egypt recorded the highest daily infection rate with 774 cases, in addition to 16 deaths, to exceed the cases of 15,000 barriers, noting that yesterday it witnessed the announcement of 745 cases and 21 deaths, while doubting the numbers from some of the pioneers of the communication sites who expect that the infections will be Much more.

And on Wednesday, the government announced expansion in the face of Corona, by making it available for examination in all its public (government) hospitals, in the first official circulation of the test since the disease appeared in the country in mid-February, knowing that the representative of the World Health Organization in Cairo John Jabbour had confirmed at the end of last month that Egypt It needs to increase the number of corona virus tests, and have a unified methodology for nationwide testing.

It is not yet clear the price of this examination, knowing that Egyptian citizens complained on the communication sites about the lack of availability and the high price of tests if they were available, in a country that gets most of its income from taxes, and is supposed to provide the necessary health services to citizens for free.

In turn, the Minister of Higher Education, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, expected that the country would record 37,000 cases of Corona virus by mid-July, an increase of about 22,000 from the most recent official census.

The minister considered that "any country cannot recognize all cases, especially if 80% of people infected with this virus do not have any symptoms that require them to be hospitalized," stressing that "whoever wager on the health system of any country is wrong, but the bet on Self and protect oneself and those around us. "

The minister confirmed that expectations also indicate that Egypt will report "zero" injuries, after July 16th.

On the other hand, Egyptian Medical Syndicate member Mona Mina said that "there is an unprecedented increase in the number of reported infections with Corona virus during the past few period, despite the severe shortage of necessary smears."

During a press conference in Cairo today, Thursday, she appealed to the citizens to adhere to their homes on Eid al-Fitr, not to exchange visits, avoid gatherings, adhere to preventive measures, and measures of social separation as much as possible to avoid the spread of infection.

She drew attention to numerous complaints about the lack of protective supplies inside hospitals, stressing the need to protect medical teams in the face of the disease so that we do not lose them and lose many lives with them.

It also called for providing smears for the medical teams in contact with Corona patients, and providing places to isolate the injured from them, which is what the union demands, especially with its confirmation that many doctors are infected with the virus, and no smears have been done for them or isolated.
