The Official Center for Fatwa, affiliated to the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, issued a fatwa authorizing the establishment of Eid al-Fitr prayers at home, specifying the rules and how they should be performed in a group or individually.

The fatwa spoke about the ruling on Eid prayer, explaining that it is a confirmed Sunnah against the right of an unexcused resident, and it is desirable for a woman, boy and traveler.

She said: "The basic principle is that Eid prayers should be performed in the chapels and mosques, but in light of these current conditions (the outbreak of the new" Corona "epidemic, and the prevention of gatherings in mosques and chapels to preserve the health and safety of people), and according to the fatwa of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa, they pray in homes Individually, or the man prays in congregation with his wife and children, and she has no engagement.

And on the time for Eid prayer, the Center stated that its time starts after sunrise about twenty minutes, and ends at noon (noon azan), and it is not authorized, nor will it be held or spent, if its time has come out.

With regard to how it is performed, the Center explained that the Eid prayer is two rak'ahs, which the worshiper (imam, mamma, or solo) grows up in the first rak'ah, seven takbeers with the opening takbeer, and in the second six takbeers with the takbeer of qiyam.

He said: “Zooming in the two Eid prayers before the recitation is continuous, and if you pray in congregation, then the imam will remain silent after every takbeer, as much as the congregants grow up behind him, and the worshiper raises his hands during the Eid prayer only when the Ihraam is enlarged.”

He added: "If you pray in congregation, then after completing the takbeerat, the Imam Al-Fatihah recites aloud, and then reads what is available from the Holy Qur’an, such as: Surat al-Ala’a and Surat al-Shams or Surat al-Ghashiyyah and the like, and the imam listens to the imam's reading."

And the center continued: "If you pray separately, it is desirable for the individual to pray it out loud as the imam, but he continues between the takbeers in the prayer, and he performs the performance of the Eid prayer in this way alone and in congregation."

The fatwa stressed that he completely refrained from giving a sermon for the Eid prayer at home, saying: "He is not engaged to praying Eid at home, but the imam is engaged to her if she prays in the chapel or the mosque, and this is not possible in such circumstances that we are going through, and after the peace of Eid prayer. The rituals of the Eid prayer will be over and the one who prays in his house will perform what is legally required of him, and he will receive the full and undiminished reward.
