It was at 13 o'clock on Saturday, May 16, that the police received an alarm that a seriously injured man had been found at Mälarcampingen in Johannisberg. A 41-year-old woman was arrested at the scene. She has now been arrested by the Västmanland District Court on probable cause suspected of attempted murder. Probable reasons are the higher degree of suspicion.

Västmanland District Court makes the assessment that there is a risk that the suspect will interrogate evidence, or in any way make the investigation difficult, if she is released on foot. They also believe that there is a risk that she will continue to commit crimes. The prosecutor may at the same time decide on restrictions in the detention, which means that the prosecutor controls what contact with the outside world the suspected woman may have.

The woman's mental state should be examined

The court has also decided that the 41-year-old has undergone a minor forensic psychiatric examination, a so-called section 7 examination. It is a study that can answer whether there can be reason to suspect that the woman is suffering from a serious mental disorder.

The woman denies the deed. Prosecution must be brought by June 2.
