The boat trip cost them dearly. This Tuesday, two boaters from the Paris region came to fish off Saint-Jouin-Bruneval, near Le Havre (Seine-Maritime), even though boating activity is prohibited.

When they returned, they wanted to “get their boat out of the water” with their 4x4 vehicle and a trailer. But they saw "all from the water," trapped by the tide, says the police department in a Facebook post relayed by Actu.fr .

Verbalized for non-compliance with the movement restriction

The trailer and the boat were recovered thanks to people present on site. On the other hand, the “Pajero 4X4 (…) will have to wait until the tide comes down to be extracted”.

In addition to their mishap, the two boaters were each fined 135 euros for having moved more than 100 km from their home.
