A spokesperson for the Ford Motor Group said that putting on a protective mask is mandatory, at a company plant in Michigan, is scheduled to be visited by Donald Trump today, adding that it is up to the White House, to determine whether the president should put one.

The Republican billionaire has so far refused to put a mask public, despite recommendations from the US health authorities.

And a spokeswoman for "Ford" stated that "our policy requires that everyone must put in place personal protective equipment, to prevent the spread of (Covid 19)." She added: "We discussed our security protocols with the White House, while preparing for the tour."

It is up to the White House and President Trump to decide whether to wear a mask during his scheduled visit to the Ford plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan, which is considered a decisive state in the November presidential election.

Donald Trump has never been photographed wearing a mask.
