A 22-month-old baby died after confirming corona19 in Indonesia.
Local media reported on Tuesday that they were the youngest deaths among the confirmers included in government statistics.
The Corona 19 response team in North Sulawesi announced that "the 22-month-old baby boy from Manado, patient 93 of Corona 19, died on the 17th.
The baby has been treated at the quarantine ward of Manado State Hospital since the beginning of this month.
A hospital official said, "The baby was suffering from tuberculosis and malnutrition, as well as corona19 infection."
In the meantime, an 11-year-old girl who died in the hospital on March 20 at Pamekasan in Madura Island was known as the youngest victim of Corona19.
It was assumed that the girl lived with her grandmother and became infected.
In Indonesia, it is difficult to determine how old the actual youngest victim is because many of them die before suspected corona19.
As of the previous day, there were 18,496 confirmed cases of corona19 in Indonesia, and a total of 1,221 deaths, adding 30.
On the 17th, a 72-year-old male patient asked for discharge from a hospital on the 4th floor of a hospital in Jatinega, eastern Jakarta, was denied and died.
The man was registered for PDP because of symptoms of respiratory disease while being treated for diabetes and pneumonia.
Police are investigating eyewitnesses who saw the man opening the window and jumping.
