“According to the Decree of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the DPR People’s Police units are on high alert,” said Eduard Basurin, Deputy Head of the DPR Police Department. His words are quoted by the Donetsk news agency.

A statement issued earlier by the head of the republic, Denis Pushilin, said that he had decided to "increase the combat readiness of units" in the event of "further aggressive behavior of Kiev."

The defense department of the LPR also reported full combat readiness of the units.

"At the moment, our units have completed all activities to bring to the highest degree of combat readiness," the Lugansk Information Center reports.

Earlier, the LPR People’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the republic’s police were transferred to an enhanced regime of work in connection with possible provocations.
