He couldn't go any further. An 18-year-old motorist was arrested after trying to escape police control in Colombelles, near Caen (Calvados), on the night of Monday to Tuesday.

The young man had committed an offense and a patrol set out to stop him, tells Actu.fr . But the driver did not give in and tried to confuse the police.

Without a license and under the influence of drugs

To stop him, the agents deployed a harrow under the wheels of his car. The two tires on the left side were punctured. The driver again tried to escape on foot, to no avail. Catched up, he struck one of the police officers during his arrest, according to the local news site.

The young man, who does not have a driver's license, was driving under the influence of drugs. He was also in possession of 1.4 grams of cannabis resin and his vehicle was not insured. He was placed in police custody at the Caen police station.
