A 25 year old man was arrested Sunday by police in Montpellier (Hérault) he is suspected of extorting money from a fifties, with whom he had a romantic date, learned 20 minutes with of the police.

In March, the victim made an appointment with the young man in a garage. The suspect is then accused of having tied him up in bed, before punching him.

He is also suspected of having stolen his cell phone, the keys to his car, and his bank card, with which he would have withdrawn the sum of 1,500 euros.

The victim could only be released by passers-by, who were alerted by his cries.
