In full containment, the government had announced that the French could spend up to 95 euros per week on restaurant tickets to do their shopping at the supermarket. A promise that will never see the light of day. A disappointment for consumers who counted on this help to do their shopping.

The announcement of the possibility of shopping at the supermarket in restaurant tickets had attracted everyone. The government had even mentioned a ceiling of 95 euros per week until the restaurants reopened. But this promise was ultimately abandoned by the government. It is certainly still possible to spend 19 euros per day on certain products in supermarkets, but no more.

"This card would have been of great help"

The reason given for this coaster: 95 euros per week was a good idea during confinement, but it is no longer necessary now that we are unconfined. Aurélie, a mother now in telework, was however impatiently waiting to use her restaurant ticket card to do her shopping.

"It is a great disappointment because since mid-March, the balance of my restaurant ticket account has accumulated. Today, I have a balance of around 500 euros. And do lots of shopping 95 euros with this card would have been a big help, "she explains. "I don't even know how I'm going to spend that much money once the restaurants are open again ..."

Note that in restaurants, the ceiling will drop from 19 to 38 euros, including weekends.
