This was reported by the publication "Ukrainian Truth" with reference to sources in the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

“The office of the prosecutor general made information in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations,” the material says.

The investigation began under Part 1 of Art. 111 (high treason) and part 2 of article 364 (abuse of power or official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

It is planned to attach to the case file the records of the above telephone conversations, which were transmitted to the department by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Derkach.

Earlier during a press conference, he demonstrated several fragments of audio recordings of conversations, presumably by Poroshenko, Biden and former US Secretary of State John Kerry.

One of them concerned the dismissal of Viktor Shokin from the post of prosecutor general of Ukraine in 2016, allegedly at the request of Biden in exchange for the allocation of $ 1 billion to Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada called for the creation of a commission to investigate published audio recordings.

Parliament Speaker Dmitry Razumkov demanded that law enforcement agencies respond to the situation and conduct an audit of the record.
