Brazil, which accounts for about half of all diagnosed and deceased people in Central and South America, now has more than 250,000 confirmed cases, the third largest in the world after the United States and Russia.

The number of confirmed cases increased by 13,000 compared to the previous day, and the number of deaths increased by 600 by one day, reaching 1,700.

In Sao Paulo alone, the damage was the most severe with over 63,000 confirmed cases and 4,800 deaths.

The Brazilian government has blocked cities in six states, but the rate of participation has been low, and it has not been effective.
