The Higher Committee in charge of discussing the mechanism to deal with developments resulting from the spread of the Corona virus (Covid 19) in the Sultanate of Oman held a meeting today, and the Committee emphasized the banning of gatherings related to the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, of all kinds, Eid prayers, greeting gatherings and collective celebrations of the Day for the danger of such gatherings to spread Disease among the community.

The committee decided to entrust the Royal Oman Police to monitor the compliance of individuals, public and private institutions and institutions with the decisions issued by the Supreme Committee, and to authorize them directly to impose the specified financial fines and preventive detention of all violators of these decisions.

The committee announced the reopening of a new package of commercial and industrial activities, with the need for those activities to adhere to the necessary preventive controls, and the relevant authorities will announce the details of those activities.

The committee also decided to compel everyone to wear masks in public places, and it includes all sites of permitted commercial and industrial activities, and in workplaces in the public and private sectors, and public transportation.
