It is one of the largest garage sales in France, a meeting long awaited by many bargain hunters from all over Brittany. But unfortunately for them, it will be necessary to do without the flea market on the Canal Saint-Martin this year. Meeting this Monday morning, the Saint-Martin district committee in Rennes has just made the decision to cancel the next edition of the clearance sale scheduled for Sunday, September 20. A decision justified by the health crisis linked to Covid-19 and "the uncertainties as to its evolution".

"The events of more than 5,000 people are prohibited until September, so we could not take the risk of maintaining the clearance sale given the context and the uncertainties that weigh", said the organizing team, contacted by 20 Minutes . "We welcome 1,500 exhibitors each year, which makes it difficult to respect the rules of distancing," she continues.

See you on September 19, 2021

Death in the soul, the organizers thus had no choice but to cancel the next clearance sale. They are already meeting up with bargain hunters next year with a clearance sale to be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021.
