- We think that most of the businesses we have visited have taken good measures to counteract congestion. The fact that the weather has been colder this past week, we believe that the congestion on the restaurants has been less, says David Lindsjö, unit manager at the environmental administration in Malmö city, in a press release on Monday.

Between 13 and 16 May, the environmental management inspected 36 operations in Malmö, of which four visits were to follow up shortcomings from the previous inspection.

"Do what they can"

The checks showed that all businesses have now taken measures to reduce congestion.

No operations were found to have major deficiencies when environmental management was in place. According to the inspectors, most people do what they can to reduce congestion and create the opportunity for guests to keep safe distances.

- When it gets warmer again, we want to emphasize the public's responsibility to help it work well in restaurants, cafes and on outdoor cafés. It is important that we all, regardless of the weather, continue to follow the recommendations of the Public Health Authority to keep a distance, says David Lindsjö.
