The RATP plans to run three out of four metros this week, but 100% on lines 1, 13 and 14 and 85% on the 9, three RER trains, from 80 to 100% of the trams depending on the lines (T6 trams , T7 and T8 operating normally) and three out of four buses.

The RATP service will remain reduced in the coming days but all the lines should return to a normal hourly amplitude from May 25, said Monday the operator of public transport in the Paris agglomeration.

The RATP plans to run three out of four metros this week, but 100% on lines 1, 13 and 14 and 85% on the 9, three RER trains, from 80 to 100% of the trams depending on the lines (T6 trams , T7 and T8 operating normally) and three out of four buses. Metros and RER, however, only run from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., the RATP plans to return to normal hours from May 25: from 5.30 a.m. to 1.15 a.m. for the metro, and from 5 a.m. to 1.15 a.m. for the RER.

Frequency expected to "significantly increase"

The frequency should also "significantly increase" on a good part of the network next week, promised the RATP in a press release. It then intends to provide 80% of the service for the metro (and of course always 100% on lines 1, 13 and 14), line B of the RER and buses, and a "nearly normal" service on line A of the RER and trams.

The RATP always asks to "limit travel as much as possible"

Given the time required to clean the operating positions of trains, the rate could be affected, but "in return, there will be more trains just before and just after rush hour," said RATP.

Because of the rules of distancing which reduce the capacity of public transport by about 80%, the RATP "(demand) always to companies and Ile-de-France residents to limit trips as much as possible, to maintain massive teleworking, and to spread out the most strongly possible arrival and departure times at workplaces ".
