The outbreak is believed to have started with one of the home service users being cared for at the Vrinevis Hospital carrying the infection to the home. The person must during the time at the hospital be suspected of having been affected by corona and then cared for in the municipality's short-term housing for those with covid-19.
After a few days, the person was declared well by a doctor and allowed to go home from the short-term accommodation, without having been tested.
Shortly thereafter, both the hospitalized person and his partner became ill. Both have now been tested positive for covid-19 and also several in the home service staff, as well as other users.
The concern is now great with staff and users in the home service area. There has also been a so-called 6.6a notification of the union.
- Unfortunately, no business is spared. I know there is a lot of concern out there and that is what we are working on, ”says Magnus Johansson, Director of Health and Care at Norrköping Municipality.
