The head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, said that the country's incidence of coronavirus has been stopped.

“The situation with the spread of coronavirus infection in our country remains difficult, but we can still say that we managed to stop the increase in the incidence rate," the prime minister said at a meeting of the presidium of the coordinating council of the government to combat coronavirus infection.

He added that “according to the most cautious estimates,” the dynamics of the situation with COVID-19 in the country looks positive. The prime minister also admitted that conditions were created in 27 Russian regions, against which one can talk about lifting restrictions.

“Today, according to objective indicators of daily monitoring, a number of regions are already ready for the gradual relaxation of quarantine measures. In total, these are 27 subjects of the Federation, ”said Mishustin.

He noted that over the past few days, the spread of the virus there does not exceed unity, and more than half of the specialized beds remain free.

Recall that over the past day in 81 regions of Russia recorded 8926 new cases of coronavirus infection. According to the operational headquarters, 40.1% of new patients with COVID-19 did not have clinical manifestations of the disease.

In the previous 24 hours, coronavirus was detected in 9709 people, the day before - 9200. In total, 290 678 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the country. According to Rospotrebnadzor, in Russia 7,147,014 laboratory studies were conducted for the presence of a new coronavirus.

Since the beginning of the epidemic in Russia, 2722 deaths (0.94%) from complications that developed against the background of coronavirus infection and concomitant diseases were recorded. At the same time, 70,209 people recovered on the territory of the Russian Federation. Among the ill COVID-19, there is Mikhail Mishustin himself.

Phase out restrictions

Earlier, Vladimir Putin announced the end of the non-working period in force in the country since the end of March. The head of state said that the next stage has come, within which it is necessary to soften the existing restrictions, but this should not be done at once.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed and sent to all countries criteria under which it is possible to remove restrictions imposed due to coronavirus. This was reported by the representative of the organization in the Russian Federation Melita Vujnovich.

According to her, the recommendations say what should be taken into account when weakening measures to curb the spread of the virus. In an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Vujnovich said that the Russian Federation takes these recommendations into account.

“If all restrictions are removed very early, the second outbreak of the epidemic will begin, which could be more serious. He can catch people and medicine by surprise. The virus, unfortunately, will not go anywhere. He will be among the people, so you always need to be prepared to identify each patient and his contacts, ”said the representative of WHO.

She added that in order to return to normal life, all employers need to develop measures of infectious safety at the workplace, in particular, maintaining physical distance and mask regimen, as well as hygiene of hands and surfaces.

“It is very important to note that thanks to the competent actions of the epidemiological service, your health care system has not been overloaded. There is enough equipment for artificial ventilation of the lungs, and hospital beds. And isolation measures played a role, ”she said.

Vujnović emphasized that the number of new cases of infection is declining, but it will take time to follow the dynamics of the situation.

“The epidemic can move in different directions. When there will be a steady decrease in newly diagnosed cases for 2-3 weeks, then we can already say that this is not a temporary, but a sustainable process, ”concluded the representative of WHO.

Meanwhile, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that there were seven regions left in Russia where the situation with the coronavirus is still unfavorable. In another speech, the head of Rospotrebnadzor noted that the further development of the situation will be determined by the way the Russians spent the May holidays.

“A certain number of days, and most likely two days, we see a certain decrease. How stable this trend will be depends on how we all spent the May holidays together. If a significant part of us did everything right, then this trend will continue, ”she said on the television channel" Russia 24 ".

During a meeting on May 18 with Vladimir Putin, Popova also said that Rospotrebnadzor, together with the Russian Emergencies Ministry and the Ministry of Health, had worked out an algorithm for deploying prefabricated infectious modular centers. According to Popova, in two weeks you can create up to 1 thousand beds.

“Today they are ready up to a thousand beds simultaneously with different capacities, if necessary, according to the situation,” she said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on May 18.
