Rise of fever between the DRC and Zambia on a disputed territory

SADEC, which was seized through the Zimbabwean president, Emmerson Mnangagwa, advised to avoid clashes. But, according to diplomatic and security sources, the Zambian authorities claim sovereignty over Muliro and Kalubamba, coastal villages located in the territory of Moba, in the DRC.

At the start of the current crisis, a case of Congolese fishermen chased for going to venture into Zambian territorial waters. This is the third such conflict since 1996 between Kinshasa and Lusaka.
