"The new strategic missile submarine cruiser Prince Vladimir, which performs the tasks of a control exit before being transferred to the Northern Fleet, has launched the underwater part of the tests in the White Sea," the fleet press service quotes RIA Novosti.

The acceptance committee together with the crew checks the quality of the elimination of previously identified comments and the operability of all ship systems and mechanisms.

“After the successful completion of the control exit, the issue of the time period for the inclusion of a new ship in the submarine forces of the Northern Fleet and transfer to a permanent base on the Kola Peninsula will be resolved,” the Northern Fleet added.

They recalled that the main part of the tests, including missile and underwater firing, the submarine passed at the end of 2019.

In December 2019, the first production nuclear submarine of Project 885M Yasen-M Novosibirsk was launched in Severodvinsk in the Arkhangelsk Region.
