Helicopter pilot who crashed Jan. 26 with former NBA star Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna aboard no alcohol or drug use before the accident, autopsy results released Friday.

Ara Zobayan, 50, was the pilot of the plane transporting the Bryant to a basketball tournament when the helicopter crashed against a hill in Los Angeles, killing all nine people on board.

"Toxicological tests did not detect the presence of alcohol or drugs. The substances tested include: benzodiazepine, cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, marijuana, opioids, phencyclidine and amphetamine," said the report from the coroners of Los Angeles.

The report notes that the reason for the death of the helicopter passengers is accidental.

According to the investigation, the helicopter was traveling at a speed of 296 km / h in foggy weather when it crashed against a hill northwest of Los Angeles.

Regarding Kobe Bryant, the report says he died instantly from injuries to his entire body.

Iconic Lakers player, Kobe Bryant was five-time NBA champion. He retired in 2016.
